Grayscale Exhibition

Grayscale Exhibition
By Felicity's Team
Description: In a far off world, where humans and faes are constantly at war, a girl lived near the edge of an enchanted forest. One day she decides to explore it--and it seems as though someone else had the same idea. Friendship grows but so does the war, and it won't be long until she's caught in the crosshairs. When lines are crossed, she finds herself forced to make the toughest decision of all. Grayscale touches on topics such as forgiveness, acceptance, and friendship, while also the tole of war and conflict on children. The world isn't all black and white, so let's stop seeing it that way.

Absolutely wonderfully paced story, with a great payoff to your visual choices at the end. Not to mention that great contrast between the backgrounds and the characters during the big Act 2 action sequence. And just the right amount of full grayscale vs. muted colour tones in the art-- very thoughtfully done. Great job making you care about the relationship between the human and the fae, and really raising the tension on if the human will betray their friend. Really, just a little sound design will go a long way in enhancing this and giving all the action a little more clarity.

Exceptional drawings that are very clear and unique. I also think the use of audio, even just music and sound effects, would make the story more clear and effective.

I love the your use of the grayscale/color metaphor to explore a complex topic. Unfortunately, without audio I found the details of the story difficult to follow. Dialog or narration would have helped a lot. The text description you provided is compelling, so I'd encourage you to continue to work on the story. It has the potential to be extremely moving and important. Keep it up!
